I've been installing these for several years. If you're dealing with oak, hickory, sycamore, or sweetgum they're great. Very sturdy, nearly indestructible, and they let lots of water through in a hurry. Five stars for this application. Some pine needles eventually work their way through, and smaller maple whirlybirds often get stuck in them. Three to four stars on these trees.
